Here is a sweet experience for my friend and I. Just right up my alley..With the little Chinese I know I learn all about this 60 year old Tou Foo Fah business.
The granddad started off in a bicycle...the walls of this little outlet (upstairs also) are full of old time black and white photos.
Then he gratduated into a three wheeled vehicle.
This is the best tou foo fah I have ever eaten. There are several "tastes" of toufoo fah and several offerings of peanut soups too. And you can mix the two and out comes serveral varieties again. Beans go a long way!! My friend who is selective is very impressed too. Too bad we have to make space in our stomach for 1001 others.
Must have a photo taken of myself here....too good to miss the chance. I was told to put my carry pack in the front and hang on to it for dear life....I am doing right am I not? Not leaving it on the chair even when eating tou foo fah!! But later I found out from our tour guide that only 1 % of the Taiwanese are "irresponsible and up to no good"....you must be very unlucky to meet one.

ya,i know you meant - hang on to it for dear life,especially in some countries like our neighboring country.it happened ,just a sec you don't look at your bag - gone ! i learnt from friends who went to Japan for trainings,such thing as bag snatching is quite rare - people's attitude i guess. hi S'kiana,can you describe to me in details how good is the toufoofah.

The toufoofah is very soft and silky and the taste is really exquisite like honey and good rock sugar.
You know that no artificial ingredients or preservatives have been used.
It is pure pure good stuff...and the coldness is just right...not like some with so much ice that you can have some fluid which is just icewater and some toufoofah water.
You must try it...

Do enjoy everything there!! Are you going to the mountains? The Government has supported the indigenous people there very well...and some of the tribes there have population smaller than the world pandas....e.g. only 290 of them for example...
It was a knowledge gaining trip for me.
