Polzeath Cornwall

A trendy internet café for surfers in north Cornwall, a skate park in Essex, a tower block in Portsmouth, a gathering of Goths in Cambridge, a Wetherspoon’s pub in Bridlington and a fishing boat in the North Sea. Is this your idea of church? Possibly not, but each is a valid “fresh expression of church” that has sprung up in the past five years.

This statement has made a mark in my mind since visiting Polzeath a very nice retreat or seaside resort in North Conrwall. We had a lovely afternoon visiting one of the favourite places of our host Miss Mona who acted as our tour guide. Bless her heart!

Polzeath is a nice example of how little seaside towns of Cornwall can be so refreshing and ideal for a quiet retreat.

Hi Wenn

You must visit Cornwall one day!! Highly recommended. Take the coach direct from Heathrow (no need even to stop in London) and go straight to Plymouth and then enjoy a whole week or two of Cornwall and Devon......

My friend used to tell me thatmany city folks leave their cities in Malaysia to visit farms overseas....

Since you are in Cornwall, you should take the opportunity to visit the final resting place of the three White Rajahs of Sarawak in Sheepstor, which is about 15km to the north of Plymouth.

Yes Cornwall is very quiet...and real estate is stable...I love the cottages there...and houses are usually quite far from each other. The small towns or rather villages are just so beautiful. If you watch Doc Martin....the TV series is filmed is Port Isaac...a very beautiful place. The Prime Minister David Cameron loves Cornwall....Daughter was born in one of the resorts.
