Thanks Tumi....I love its blue colour. The plant decorates the fence in my backyard.

Sarawaklens - yes the blue colour from this flower is used to make Nasi Kerabu and also Kuih Tai Tai and other Nyonya kuih which needs the blue colour.

These bunga telang are mine!! Growing on my back fence. Whenever my neighbour (Old man) swears and curses) I look at these beauties...He considered my husband a gardener...and gives him orders to cut this tree or that bush or consult with your "towkay "...He always asked.."Mana towkay lu?"...So one day my husband got very annoyed.."You think only you Chinese can own a property..." I hope my bunga telang will protect us from his prying eyes while we can still enjoy the small stream separating our houses...

Dear Sarawaklens

Yes a pity he always considers my husband (dark looking man who looks like Pakistani) my gardener. He never speaks to me also. But I am good with all the others...We have to look out for each other here and update each other about intruders etc..May be it is because his son drives a Merc to see him every Sat. he has the right to swear and curse at others.
