Bilong Wo (Keladi Cina)

the favourite for the Chinese would be the betel nut taro or bilong wo which fetches a very high price because of its quality.

This taro is hard to grow as the best soil has to be loamy black and alluvial soil It takes about5 months to grow the roots to a fairly good size. So most Chinese farmers would start growing them in August or September to catch a windfall before Chinese New Year.
To the Foochows Bilong Wo can be simply sliced and steamed. Dipped in crab sauce.
You will need to ask for an extra bowl of rice.
