My former student George Matthias sent me this recipe:
the rice with 'santan' half cooked. Wrap the half cooked rice in banana
leaves. 2 bungkus di ikat jadi satu with manila rope. The reboil the
wrapped rice with pure water for approx. 5-6 hours with light fire.
preferable using firewood to cook. The buras can be taken with chicken
and or beef curry and other preferable vegetables.
