Kueh Malaya in Brunei

This is actually a version of apam balek in Brunei - a special touch - with raisins and condensed milk. This young man makes new ones upon demand. It is very tasty for me because I like raisins.

The name is interesting. And it is indeed a kind of waffle since it is made using a mould.

hi
Nice of you to visit...I think there are many varieties of waffles all over the world. The griddles designed by the various peoples only show that we humans come from the same origins.

So cheekily - here's "Be united in waffles!!"

cheers.

looks like a bread pudding and waffle altogether. reminds me of my mama's bread pudding... last time i had it was in form 3... then after that it was my turn to make cakes and puddings to the family.

Yes the raisins make the waffle very nice (but I am bias of course as I like raisins). And it is really soft and creamy. He used evaporated milk and condensed me as topping with sugar and peanuts and raisins!!
