Chinese New Year in Miri 2 - auspicious things to buy

What would you like to eat plenty of? A friend in Sibu wrote ""Just buy. Because it is once a year." My favourite CNY item is mandarin oranges....Can never eat enough of them.

Oranges signify gold. So may you have plenty of wealth this year....

I think my children and sons-in-law would love to get plenty of these too this year....sweet meats - may all of you have plenty of sweetness through out the year....

Different kinds of melon seeds (kuachi) are popular with every Chinese...nice to crack them open while talking...

Red melon seeds.

Black and white sunflower seeds.

Green tea melon seeds!!

Crunchy and saltish peanuts are good for everyone.

this is something new : Oolong tea kuachi or melon seeds for good health.

Nice nuts....

Pomeloes bring good luck and harmony.

Enter the New Dragon (Sarawak Layer Cake)...Hidden Treasures and Crouching Wealth...Cheers. There are more and more stalls selling these types of cakes now.

Happy and Prosperous New Year.
