last year, we were at dinner with Ang Mo frioends, when she remembered, she took out candles, and we joked that we had a romantic candlelit dinner.

Last night, I had a 80 something old Chinese man for dinner, I don't think he would appreciate it. Sam did ask why I had a candle which I was going to use for my Easter Table.

Many women would consider "no bright lights" as poor...e.g. the squatters in Miri use kerosene lights when they have dinner.
Or in longhouses where they do not have generators they use candles or a small oil lamp....

I think switching off lights for one hour is epsecially meaningful for children. They will remember...

It is a good practice to not waste energy...
