Streets of Fuzhou City

Although the city of Fuzhou is quite a modern metropolis since the opening up of China 30 years ago some of its old styles still remain to give it more character I feel.

I got some shots of the old time bicycles and other every day life scenes. Women continue to hold up half the sky. (Mao)

Water Chestnuts from bicycle vendor who can peel them for you upon request.

A woman going home after purchasing bamboos for her spring cleaning. She is riding an electric bike!!

A street cleaner. His vehicle is a three wheel cart.

A woman pedlar selling pineapples.

A newer business - enclosed fibre glass newspaper stand.
