Wild Ginseng Leaf (Talinum Tirangulare)

The leaves are similar to ginseng in structure and are eaten in salad by Singaporeans and the Philipinos.

It is high in protein calcium and vitamines ABC

According to a missionary working in Miri, the stems and leaves cooling properties to readuce body heat and it contains traces of ginseng elements to improve energy levels.

It has been documented in many articles that Indians use the flowers to cure asthma

It can also be cooked in soups which is very appetising.

This vegetable can be easily grown and its seeds spread in large areas of Miri.
