The World Fuzhou Heritage Gallery which is located at Jalan Salim in Sibu has more than 650 artifacts which have come from Foochow families. Many are more than 100 years old as they were brought to Sibu by the first few batches of Foochows who landed in 1901 in Sibu.
According to a source, this Heritage Gallery may be the world's biggest for the Foochow community.
Among the artifacts is a rice bin belonging to Tiong Toh Siong, the father of Tan Sri Tiong Hiew King. Toh Siong was a boarder in 1918 in Fujian and he stored his own three month's supply of rice in the bin. He would return home to refill the bin when his supply ran out.
Outside the gallery is a statue of Wong Nai Siong who was instrumental in bring the Foochow pioneers to Sibu, after negotiating a deal with the Rajah of Sarawak.
These concrete balls represent the 10 dialectic groups of the Foochows.

It should be a good place to visit when you go to Sibu. And especially if you are a Foochow.
