Nature's way of Weather Forecast

I truly believe that God has given us a most interesting way of knowing the weather even before BBC and its weatherforecasters appear on the radio or TV screens. Before the invention of all the instruments used to forecast weather European farmers and fishermen had used nature to predict their weather.


These pine cones can tell you if there will be wet or dry weather- 100% accuracy.

Rain is coming. The cones are closed tight.

One of the most reliable of all natural weather indicators are pine cones. These have traditionally been used to forecast the weather as they change shape according to whether it is wet or dry. In dry weather, pine cones open out as the scales shrivel up and stand out stiffly. When it is damp, they absorb moisture and as the scales become flexible again, the cone returns to its normal shape.

"Yes it's correct. The cones are closed and the clouds are bringing the rain!! Amazing!" said Judy from the tropical climes. (Sibu no less).
