7/12/2010 Two official meals and a Museum visit

After a fairly good night's rest at Hotel San Jaya (san water for a good bath) we had breakfast at the Waki Bupati's residence.....

special salted ikan tioman dish which goes well with rice.

After breakfast I took the opportunity to have a photo taken with Miri based Iban singer Tuai Rumah Andrewson Nyalai. He was very sporting!!

Museum Visit - very impressive
It was very nice of the government to keep the museum open for our visit - it was almost 7 p.m!!

school room in the museum

They put up a banner to welcome us.

There are three cultures showcased in this museum. This is the Chinese(Orang Tionghua) section!!

Evening with the Bupati (Regent) of Sintang Regency at his official Residence. A whole list of Dayak Dances and Songs...with presentation by our own Sarawak Andrewson Nyalai.

A good day starting with a good breakfast and ending with a song in our hearts!!
Thus ended our Day 4.

This is a semi official trip - part of Social and Economic Programme orgniaed by Kalimantan and Sarawak...so many Dayak Headmen and businessmen went...led by Datuk Seri Edmund Langgu too. I just tagged along...We also had to pay our way too. Subsidies for several other things.

It was on the whole a very good opportunity for us.
