After a lovely breakfast at Wakil Bupati's residence (and lots of photograph taking) we proceeded to Sintang Regency.
Lunch was at Nanga Silat - which needs a special mention in my blog....and after the lunch we visited the oldest and largest Single Rock in Asia - Bukit Kelam....
A whole basin of ikan tioman cooked in assam curry.
Deep fried chicken and toufoo
One of my favourite food - tempe
ubi leaves - cooked in Indonesian style
pickled cabbage
raw vegetables for you to choose and eat
Terrence Temenggong having a beautiful braised Ikan Lais.
The youngest Member of our Cultural Group Anak Bakar
This is my first Ikan Lais...showing off to Sandy
Hahaha...on my plate two eggs and some slated vegetables.....and followed by one ikan lais.
Bukit Kelam - You just cannot help but take lots of pictures of this magnificient monolith - the largest in Asia!! It is indeed a single rock by itself stading some 900 meters tall. It takes a strong and healthy young man at least 5 hours to climb to the top.

Second Station (Jesus given His Cross) It was as surprise to meet up with an old school friend Jonathan Barau in this trip. - my school senior. He is one of the officials for the trip.
Station 6 Veronica wipes the face of Jesus (Pilgrims are allowed to take photos...this is to show the sculptures are more than life size!!) May God bless the Indonesian sculpturess Veronica richly.
(13th Station)Jesus' body removed from the Cross
The last station - The empty tomb!! (This photo is dedicated to my friend Judy Wong)
My dear friend Cikgu Virginia believes that this is a good retreat. There are usually 15 stations of the Cross. So a visit here would really help Christians learn more about the sufferings of Jesus Christ.

Note : (Sourced from Wikipedia) The Stations themselves are usually a series of 14 pictures or sculptures depicting the following scenes:
Hi Sarawakiana, wow! Love this place. Never knew it existed too. Love the food pics and that 'Jesus' pictures really outstanding. Never seen one like this before too. Always get educated dropping by here, ha ha. Have a pleasant week, Lee.
Hi Uncle Lee This is a great surprise to me too. We drove for a few hours to reach here after our lunch. And the sculpture and the beauty of this place was breath-taking. Absolutely unbelieveable!!
You would love it....Hope the freezing temperatures are not too much for you and your family!!

Did you say this is Indonesia? A muslim country with the stations of the Cross? Reminds me when I was worshipping with my parents at St Mary's church.
Yes..Indonesia and in Kalimantan Barat...Bukit Kelam has a Catholic Retreat and is a famous adventure and tourist place too.
The Indonesians are very tolerant of each other's religion.
Merry Christmas and peace and joy for the new year.
