Sg. Utik - Sekolah Santos Josephus

6th Dec. 2010

this is the first day of school and officials - all in different kinds of uniforms came in full force to declare "opening of school" in this area.

Being very Catholic the school (St. Joseph) had a prayer session and blessings were said by the priest in blue shirt.

After the short assembly the students went to the longhouse to listen to an official speech given by the Bupaten of the province.

These two men stand guarding the assembly below the Church bells.
The students looking very smart in their uniform. The little boy is very proper and alert. His shoes are different from the others....yellow shoe laces!!
