Heart of Borneo - 6 - Bukit Kelam

Bukit Kelam is believed to be the biggest free standing rock, or monolith, in Asia.

It lies in Sintang, West Borneo. Bukit Kelam is an excotic and unique nature sighseeing.
Goverment make Bukit Kelam as a reservation area since 6th June 1992.
A stone slab of a mountain rears out of the jungle near Sintang,
and the naked rock is the most conspicuous feature of the landscape, whether you arrive by river or plane.
Mount Kelam is a huge outcropping reaching 900 meters (3,000 ft) above thwe surrounding plain.
in the local language, Mount Kelam means "Dark Mountain"

Urulu Australia, a 348 m high sandstone monolith, it has a circumference at its base of 9.4 km.
