The First Hoover House of Sibu

Rev James Hoover was appointed to help administer the Foochow community in Sibu in 1904 when Wong Nai Siong decided to return to China.

This was the Hoover's town building, upstairs for the Hoovers' second home in Sibu, Anglo Chinese boys' school and dormintory downstairs. 1905-1908
