The best things in life are the people we love
the places we have been
and the memories we've made along the way.
(M.Borskin)
What were the best gifts when we visited relatives in Sibu?
A tin of biscuit, with a piece of red paper attached to it, to indicate joy of giving.
And foochow soh mien.
In the olden days, one or two chickens in cages like these would be brought along when a Foochow visited his/her relatives.
These gifts were called Ming neng and a must too.
