Malay Apple

Some fruits are "native" fruits of Sarawak and they grow "out of date". The Malay Apple is one of them.

When I was a kid, I even had these given free to us because the kampong had too much of the fruits.

Because of poor research, the Malay apple seems to disappear from our local food scene.

It is a pity really because I find the fruit very juicy and it is more sweet than sour most of the time.
