According to Iban legends if one bathes in the water of Batang Mandai one would live a long life. Furthermore drinking its water one would be accorded wisdom too.
It was a good trip to the Heart of Borneo and I experienced the sights of the Mandai River. All of us tried to bring home a bottle of water from the river. We enjoyed taking group photos here and locals came to enjoyed our time there. It was such a good cultural time together.
Doris was most adventurous because she took a small boat and rowed into the middle of the river!!
