A Toast to Labourers Today!!
Today I wish all a Happy Labour Day in Malaysia.
Three photos here will show how hard our sisters in Shu Feng in Xian You (China) work...while most of their men are working in bigger cities like Beijing...
As we eat the sweet fruits of their labour..let us remember how much work has been done by every one who has helped to bring food to our tables...
Mao Ze Dong often quoted the old saying....

Thanks for the kind attention shown. This is a family business and it being a saturday afternoon the girl is not in school and takes time to help in the family business. She is attending high school. Putien has a very high rate of school attendance.
Do people at Putian still speak Heng Hua dialect?

'There are several varieties of the heng hua dialect...I can understand most of them (Sibu Heng Hua dialect) only one old lady spoke in a very quaint way in one village. I could not understand her at all!!
