Ikan Tengadak
The tengadak is a very sweet fresh water fish, mainly found in Upper Rajang River.
It is best eaten deep fried or steamed (any style, especially if it is very fresh). The best tengadak would be around 2 kg.
The fish is getting very rare now. But when a fisherman can net the fish in the clean upper reaches of rivers in Sarawak, he would definitely be a very happy man.
Its body is rhombic. Some have red fins and others white.
