Yes we have a relative called Uncle 18. His name was Lau Sek Bek.
Naming of children.
It was interesting how the Foochows named their children. One of the ways is to give them a number. The older generation (pioneers) of Foochows who settled down in Sibu were fairly illiterate. And naming their children this way was quite unique. Today if you read the Lau or Wong Clans' genealogy books, you will find quite an interesting pool of stories.
A memorable name I remember from my child hood was the uncle who was called 18. Sek Bek.
Many others would have a generational name in the middle, e.g. Bang, Kiing, Buong, etc. Today many skip the generational name to have only ONE WORD name e.g. Lau Ching, Lau Ing. etc
