Reverend James Hoover had a special liking for sweet desserts. From various sources and oral history, it is known that he particularly like to have bread with condensed milk at exactly four pm every day.
He was quite set in his ways and Mrs. Hoover had to get bread and milk ready for his tea every day.
It is interesting how he developed a liking for this snack.
Many Foochows today still like to eat bread with condensed milk. Most interesting.
