Styles of Serving : Lelapan Sambal
The trends in the culinary arts can be quite pleasing to the eyes.
This really caught me by surprise when I went to Indonesia. An order of local lelapan, came with authentic mortar (lesong).
The restaurant was simple but the food excellent, with a lot of customers. So we knew we were in for a good meal.
I remember I hand carried a really good stone (granite) mortar and pestle all the way to Perth about 10 years ago.
