Mrs. M. Hoover : Sunday School Photo
Mrs. Mary Hoover served in Sibu from 1904 to 1947 (She was "kept" away during the Japanese Occupation and took the first possible boat back to her beloved Sibu).
Rev James Hoover was a photographer and he often took photo of the Foochows of Sibu.
Here is one photo of Methodist Sunday school students, at Masland church. This building was the then Methodist Kindergarten, the first kindergarten in the Third Division. How well they behaved.
Good idea to use umbrellas to show who were in charge!!
