Ki Bian - dried persimmons
It was a lovely Spring morning when we arrived the Er Liu Chuen near Changle. We were looking at the history of the Lau King Howe family, tracing his father's foot steps and looking for his legacies.
The village leaders were very knowledgeable and we were invited to tour village.
I was particularly impressed by the elderly facilities run by the village committee.
Renovations were going on at all times. The children and grand children of many of the villagers had been sending home a lot of money from overseas for the repairs and renovations.
On record, Changle has one of the largest number of overseas Chinese remitting money home every year.
Food was cheap and plentiful here. We had the best dried persimmons from the market.
