| My mother went to Tiing Nang Primary school and she did not have a graduation photo for in her days before the Japanese Occupation there was no Common Entrance Examination. this graduation photo shows her two beloved nephews, Kiing Giu and Kiing Nang (the little one on the right) and others who passed their common exam. Wong Ngiik Ling, the girl second from left, standing, would become her sister in law a few years after this photo was taken. Teachers sitting in the front, are Lau Pang Kui (mother's second brother), Headmaster Lau Yiing Chiong (first cousin of mum) and Teacher, Lau Tai Chiong (also first cousin) Tiing Nang Primary School was managed by the Methodist Church when it was first established. |
