Lau Tze Cheng's Newspaper Cuttings and Books
(Above : the smartest photo of Lau Tze Cheng in a fancy bow tie)
the Sarawak Chinese Cultural Association in Sibu has a good library. One whole section of the library is dedicated to the newspaper cuttings and books donated by Lau Tze Cheng who was a Foochow writer and historian.
He was first a teacher of Chung Cheng Secondary School and later he worked for a timber company. It was when he was posted to ulu areas that he took up his pen to write his books.
Unfortunately his books are all written in Chinese.
