Frog Legs and butt kicking.

To the Chinese, frog legs are favoured food for children before they are able to walk. It is a Chinese belief that if mothers give their babies frog legs they would grow up with strong legs.No photo description available.

Besides, frog legs are good for even adults who have very little appetite.

There are always a lot of wise women out there to give new mothers this kind of advice. But sometimes it is hard to find frog legs, or it is very stressful for some new mothers to think about getting some.

Perhaps we just need to know about these beliefs and if we cannot get frogs' legs for our children we can comfort ourselves by saying that it will be alright. I have four children and they never had frog legs as babies.

Each child walked at different ages. My eldest was extremely small but cranky as a baby, She was able to turn, sit and crawl at all the right months. She grew up to be a fiesty lady and is a tough nut. You cannot push her around.

The second baby was easier, she drank her milk and went to sleep easily. She was a good toddler. Today she has her regular aches. She is full of empathies for people and is extremely kind hearted.

The third baby was also not given frogs' legs. She was slow to talk and we all thought that she was going to be a speech impaired child. But by 3 1/2 she started talking. You cannot find a more articulate woman. I hope she lives her dreams.

The fourth child was feeble and small as he refused to eat. He walked well even if he did not get frogs' legs as a child. But he wasn't a good runner in school. May be I should have tried harder to get him some frogs' legs. Being flat footed worrries him a lot. School teachers bullied him especially one school sports master who liked to pull his hair and ears. May he RIP. I let it slide because the sports teacher was an old man and I comforted my boy. Teacher T took it out on his students. Should I have given the teacher a frog leg kick?

May be I should do a survey on how people who have eaten a lot of frog legs as babies fare now. It could be a good paper.
