The second Church ever built by the Methodist Foochows was Cing Ang Church, after Sing Ang Tong of Sg. Merah.
For years it was not used due to rural urban migration in the 1970's and 80's.
In the 1990's an idea came to the Sarawak Chinese Association of Churches - to build a Methodist Heritage Gallery.
Thus the idea of having one of a kind Methodist Museum was conceptualized.
.
The Cing Ang Church was often visited by the Hoovers, who went by motor launch and who often walked from village to village to visit the faithful.
Today Sg. Sadit is reachable in 20 miutes by road from Sibu.
The task carried out by the Board of Archives and History of the Sarawak Chinese Association of Churches was well done. Today the Church-museum is stately and a tourist attraction site.
The new mayor of Sibu, Clarence Ting once said that he was amazed by the log book kept by the church in which all church members are recorded including date of birth. His family is included in it and he was stunned.
The church museum is just behind the SJK Kwang Hua
A lovely model of the Lau Kah Tii mansion, crafted by Hii Kai Yuen, is a very awesome exhibit.
There are lots of other historical artifacts which can be seen, including many old photos.
