What a good find. 

My sister Sing taught for many years in Sg Merah's Tiong Hin School from 1978 to 2008. She retired after many years of teaching in Sg Merah and collected many good memories.

Sg Merah was home ground for my grandfather Tiong Kung Ping who first set foot there together with Wong Nai Siong and a good batch of Foochow pioneers.

In 1922 the first batch of Hing Hua people arrived in Sg Merah and settled down in Hing Hua Pah. the rest is history,.

Sungei Merah today is a thriving suburban area, 3 miles from Sibu.

It is well blessed by God.
