Kindergareten named after Tiong Kung Ping

 

My grandfather was a generous donor for many activities. One of his best donation was a piece of land for the Methodist Kindergarten of Kwong Ann.

Even though it was only a small piece of land the Methodist Church made full use of it.

A kindergarten is a very important feature of educational institution for the Methodist Church in Sarawak. It is considered the beginnibng of outrech for the church. Little children well trained form the foundation of a stable society, a good Christian society with strong human and Christian values.

This was a legacy of the Rev James Hoover and Mrs Hoover and the foochow Pioneers of sibu.
