One of the most important birthdays for the Chinese is the 60th birthday. That birthday marks the completion of one round of the zodiac cycle i.e. 60 years.
This birthday usually calls for a family portrait and by then the celebrant would probably already have 3 geneerations in his family.
This family portrait of my Great GRandfather Tiong King Kee is a very good photographic tribute to him and our family in Sg Merah, Sibu. The background was our family rubber garden, started in the early 1900's.
