Breakfast at Pending

It was interesting that a good family friend took us to have breakfast in Pending.

Pending is really from the English word Pending. This place was where boats waited for government permission to leave the harbour. Boats had to wait "Pending permission" from the officer.

So the local people got used to the term pending...Tunggu Pending. (Pending permission). It is a very interesting origin of a name.

Today Pending is a port just outside Kuching. But it is also a place where a lot of seafood can be bought as unloading of fish also takes place here.

Many cold storages are also found in the vicinity.

If you want the freshest of fish for your fish noodles you can come here for your breakfast.

In the evenings many families will also eat their nice seafood dinners here.
