Market Road of Sibu

This is a very old photo of the Market Road.

I particularly remember Meu Hing Trading. Upstairs was the Capitol Dress Making Institute owned by a very tall lady.

Along the same street was the foreign company called Henry Waugh.

There were two bicycle shops along this street.

In the 1960's this street and the street which was perpendicular to Channel Road formed the most important part of the Night Market of Sibu.

Please note : Chiang Chuong Villa at the top of the Meu Hing Trading. Rather unusal embossed banner.
