Sibu : Sack Race
About 20 years ago, the sack race was not only an interesting sports event but a popular youth activity .
The Methodist Primary School would always have this event on sports day.
And the Methodist Youth Fellowship of every Church in Sibu would also organize one for their special days.
Everyone one would come and cheerf the boys who were actually quite skilful in different styles to win the race.
We believe that it has an American origin.
