Sarawakian Local Delights : Mushroom Meatballs
What about making delicious meatballs for young people?
All you need would be some minced meat (wild boar, deer, pork, chicken, beef) or just a mixture of all the different meats, including some fish too, with a total of about 1 kg.
Add finely chopped Chinese mushrooms for great flavours. You can pound finely some ginger, garlic and onions too. Add sesame oil and pepper to the mashed ingredients.
finally add minced 2 toufu cakes and two egg whites. Make the balls into small sizes which you prefer. Do not make them too big or they will crumble easily.
Steam the meatballs in a hot steamer.
Once cooked, you can either deep fry them quickly to add to salads, or to add to a chicken broth or vegetable soup. You can also prepare a good tomato sauce and use them as toppings for your pasta.
