Our Teacher and his Twellow

If you are unfamiliar with Twellow, think about it as a yellow-pages service for finding people on Twitter. You can search for things or browse the directory to find people who tweet about the topics you are interested in. With the TwellowHood feature, you can find Twitterers based on geographic location. Twellow is a WebProNews service and part of the iEntry Network of Intenet B2B properties.

When we were young we were in a school which had some very senior and stern teachers. They had excellent command of the students and no one could actually get away with any naughty tricks.

We had our usual funny incidents and our own private jokes....naturally no offence to our beloved teachers. We took their scolding very well as we were so properly instilled in Confucian teachings. Our teachers were our honourable elders : people we had to respect.

But most importantly we learned well .

However one little tiny word which disturbed us a lot. And we did not dare to argue with our teacher. He insisted that his way of pronuouncing TWELVE was twellow. He would always say "twellow" and he would explain to us why he thought so.....

Now forty or so years later....there is indeed the word "twellow". I really thing our Mr. H needs to have the copyright to the word......

Thank you Mr. H for teaching us. He was a stern teacher and he managed to discipline all students under his care. Besides he was a very gentle and kind man who would always help the poor kids who had not money to pay their fees.
