Sarawak : Enoki Mushrooms and Goji Berries
Years ago, in Sibu restaurants, a special delicacy of mushrooms, broccoli and some meat slices would form a welcome banquet dish. Dried mushrooms imported from China and Taiwan would be rehydrated and used in the preparation of this dish. This was a dish we could only have either at special banquets in restaurants or New Year at home.
Today, enoki mushrooms and even shiitake mushrooms are availalbe in supermarkets. Broccoli too would not be considered a luxury. And Goji berries as garnish are a very welcome sight.
How lucky we are today. We can easily prepare this dish at home now.
