1118 Stars in Sibu Hoover Memorial Garden
This is the Hoover Memorial Garden put up by the Methodist Church of Sarawak to honour his service as {Protector of the Foochows" from 1904 to 1936.
James Hoover served the Foochows for 32 years, relentlessly, fully committed and full of self sacrifice. He had been ill a few times but he continued to work for the people he loved.
The memorial garden is uniquely designed for him and his honour. The garden is upkept by the Sibu Town council.
