Job's tears in the form of dried seeds available in Chinese drug stores. They can be cooked like rice. A soup made from them and barley can reduce water retention....
this soup can prevent diarrhea and indigestion..and many other ailments.
Interestingly, according to Western literature, it is named after tears of the suffering Job from the Old Testament of the Bible.
The Ibans in Sarawak collect the dried seed which is already polished, has a hole through it. Thus it is referred to as "Nature's Most Perfect Bead".
The beads can also be painted.
Job's tears can be combined with other herbs, which will replenish energy and fluid drained by the heat of hazy days.
