Sagu

the Melanaus process sago to make sagu, the pallets made from sago flour, rice bran and husk and grated coconut. It is best eaten with bananas, umai and other side dishes

It is a tough job making the sagu balls or pallets in Dalat (Medong village).

The making of sagu should be considered a heritage industry.
