It was a terrible piece of news : the Tusan Cliff known as Drinking Horse Head fell into the sea!
Many people came to have a look at the horrible erosion which caused the disappearance of the very popular Drinking Horse Head.

Mirians can't wait for low tide to occur at 5 pm in the evenings so that they could have a good picnic or a good walk to the cliff from Tusan beach.
The Drinking Horse head feature had also encouraged the development of many popular stalls at the cliff end of the road. Fruits, and vegetables stalls were set up and many women became good income earners. They even were able to buy their own motor cycles.
A popular kelapa bakar hawker also started having a good business in the evenings.
Chendol and other drinks were also popular. More than 20 stalls were set up to meet the popular local tourist spot. Tourists including back packers and drive through tourists from as far away as Kuching came to enjoy the beautiful sight!
Besides photographers also came in droves not only to see the Drinking Horse Head but to wait for Blue Tears, a special phenomena which occur here around November every year.
For me personally, it was a good outing for my friends who had come to visit me in Miri. They would have a memorable visit to this iconic geographical feature. Now I have one less place to bring my visiting friends.
And then the government decided to spend money on the development of this cliff area, putting a few millions into its plan.
The Drinking Horse Head literally collapse and fell into the sea to the shock of Mirians, and perhaps the whole wide world.
